The Inshallah Boys failed to end their series of poor results as they were once again pipped at home by the Bibires

King Faisal lost 1-0 to Berekum Chelsea in Ghana Premier League matchday 21 outstanding game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday.

The two clubs came into the game on the back of defeats last weekend as Faisal lost 1-0 in the Kumasi derby to Kotoko while Chelsea were pipped 3-2 by Real Tamale United on Monday.

Therefore, a win was imminent for both sides but it was Chelsea who drew the first blood after six minutes into the game.

Osei Wusu capitalised on a poor defending by Faisal and perfectly slotted in his effort for the opening goal.

Faisal regrouped and began to exert pressure on their visitors but all their efforts towards goal were thwarted by Chelsea’s defence.

With defeat staring at Faisal’s faces, the club’s bankroller and owner Alhaji Grusah joined the technical team from the VIP section to become the new technical director.

Despite his presence, King Faisal could not find a breach in Chelsea’s defence as they were resolute at the back and held on to record a win.

The defeat means that King Faisal have lost their last five Premier League games and interestingly, three of them were at home – Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

They now sit 11th on the log with 29 points, four points above the relegation zone and will travel to Elmina next weekend to battle Elmina Sharks, who sit bottom of the log with 15 points.
