The country’s football association has sent a letter to the politician cum football administrator to appear before them this week

Ghana Football Association has dragged Yaw Boateng Gyan to Ethics Committee after allegations that Asante Kotoko defender Andrews Appau was dropped from Ghana U20 team since he opted not to sign for Dreams FC during the last transfer window.

Appau, 19, joined Kotoko from lower-tier side Bofoakwa Tano in a three-year contract but was later on dropped from the Black Satellites’ camp that is undergoing preparations for their Afcon qualifiers.

Gyan further revealed that the youngster lost his place because he decided not to join Dreams FC which was previously owned by Ghana FA president Kurt Okraku

If he is unable to prove to the committee reasons why he made such wild allegations, Gyan could be suspended from his position at Bofoakwa and further fined a huge sum of money.
