The launch for the 2017-18 Ghana Premier League couldn’t take place as scheduled after Great Olympics filed an injunction and served Ghana Football Association on Monday afternoon, AshesGyamera can confirm.

Although, the football association’s Twitter handle revealed earlier that the program will continue unabated as the 16 club’s expected to play in the top-flight next season will present their registered jerseys, the program was called off after several advice from top lawyers.

According to them, it will be a contempt of court if the program takes place and clubs present their jerseys and since the program can’t take place without that part, GFA agreed to cancel it until further notice.

AshesGyamera understands that Great Olympics are contesting why Ghana FA failed to address their protests against Bechem United and Elmina Sharks after the two clubs allegedly fielded unqualified players.
