The former Le Blues player has finally kicked the bucket after going into coma since 1982 due to wrong anesthesiologist

Several French channels have reported the death of ex-foootballer Jean-Pierre Adams this morning.

He played for clubs such as PSG, Nice and the French National Team.

Following a normal knee injury in 1982, he was hospitalised for surgery at the Édouard Herriot Hospital in Lyon. The anesthesiologist made an error during the surgery which starved his brain of oxygen and he went into coma.

He has been in coma since 1982, nearly forty years, unable to move any part of the body except open and close his eyes.

His wife, Bernadette, who he married in 1969, refused to consider euthanasia (the practice of intentionally ending life to relieve pain and suffering) and continued to be by his side until his death this morning.

Rest well legend, but the real hero, is the wife.
