Kotoko defender Christopher Nettey starts alongside Baba Rahman as Ghana face Sudan in Afcon qualifiers

Ghana coach C.K Akonnor has named a depleted squad to face Sudan in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Thursday.

Asante Kotoko defender Christopher Nettey who was handed a late call up to replace Harrison Afful starts in defence together with Chelsea defender Baba Rahman.

In midfield, due to the absence of Thomas Teye Partey, Africa Acquah will start alongside Samuel Owusu and Emmanuel Lomotey while Jordan Ayew and his senior brother Andre Ayew lead the pack upfront.

The Black Stars need a win to remain on top of their group despite winning against South Africa and Sao Tome in their last two games.
