Two former Asante Kotoko coaches Abdulai Gazele and Prince Acheampong ‘Sabuto’ will be hoping to make the headlines in the ongoing Ashanti Region inter-school soccer competition at the Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi.

AMASS, led by Abdulai Gazele, have pipped Obuasi Sec Tech 1-0 in the second semifinals of the soccer competition after the latter won a protest over Asanteman SHS.

They will now meet OWASS, led by Prince Acheampong ‘Sabuto’, in the final for the ultimate.

OWASS defeated OKESS 4-2 on penalties after the game ended 1-1 in regulation time earlier in the day.

A lot of Kotoko faithfuls have keen interest in who among their family members to lift the trophy.

Interestingly, Sabuto who left AMASS last year to join OWASS, has won the trophy twice at his former place in 2009 and 2018.

He is now hoping to make it a treble and first time at OWASS, where he completed his secondary education as a student about three decades ago.

Gazele, on the other hand, hopes to win the trophy for the first time and possibly makes a huge statement why many believes he is one of the best coaches at the juvenile level.
