Asanteman SHS defeated Obuasi Sec Tech 4-2 on penalties to reach semifinals of Ashanti region’s Inter-School soccer competition ongoing at Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi.
Patrick Kusi handed hosts Obuasi Sec Tech the lead in the first half after a poor defending from Asanteman which left their backline open.
After the break, Anokye Kinsman levelled the score for Asanteman after a quick break.
Although the two sides pushed forward to find the winner, the contest remained even. Asanteman went on to win the game 4-2 through penalties.
Asanteman SHS who eliminated Osei Tutu SHS, Okomfo Anokye SHS and now Obuasi Sec Tech, will face the winner between T.I Amass and Kumasi Anglican (KASS) in the second semifinals of the competition.
The game will be played on Tuesday at Len Clay Sports Stadium.
